BEADING AND WIRE WORK
June 21-25; 9:00 - 11:30 M-F | $125 (includes materials)
Learn different chain and beading techniques to design and make your own jewelry, including techniques on wrapping, making findings, and a metal patina you can do at home.
Marcia Borell, instructor: Marcia is an award-winning free lance artist who has been teaching at TCH since September 1989. She has taught art in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, including classes for NMC's Extended Ed Division, and loves sharing her passion for the arts with all. She holds Montessori Infant-Toddler certification.

PAINTING AND PRINT MAKING
July 12-16 9:00 - 11:30 M-F | $125 (includes materials)
Using acrylic paint on canvas board, learn different techniques to paint landscapes, still-life, flowers and gardens. Students will also experiment with simple printmaking techniques.

PLANK GRILLING & WILD GAME COOKING
June 26 9:00 - 12:00 Saturday | $35 
This informal and introductory class demonstrates the basics of plank grilling and also gives the opportunity to taste game such as wild turkey and venison. Be prepared to have fun, help with the prep, and-after the smoke clears- sample some of the best cage-free and totally organic meat Michigan has to offer. In addition, participants may taste select wines from Old Mission's 2 Lads Winery (www.2lwinery.com) owned by TCH parents Angie and Chris Baldyga.
Bob Butz, instructor: Children's House parent and local writer, Bob has written about wild game cookery and grilling for Men's Journal, GQ, and TRAVERSE: Northern Michigan's Magazine. He is an avid hunter and sportsman and an enthusiastic cook.

COOKING LOCAL & CULINARY BASICS
August 16-20 9:00 - 12:00 M-F | $125 
Check out our garden and learn the importance of fresh local produce. Take an in-depth look at sauce making techniques, roasting, grilling and how to break down recipes. This class teaches the basics from a master chef 's perspective.
