The Children's House, an Independent Montessori School founded in 1984 is located just west of Traverse City. The beautiful campus honors the rural history of the region. Architecturally designed to serve 300 active learners, infant through 6th grade, the building and its gardens, small woodlands and open fields attract a diverse population of families. Children's House Montessori faculty has attained professional Montessori certification at well-respected AMS and AMI teacher-training sites.
Partnering with families to raise exceptional learners, The Children's House offers year-round, all day, developmentally appropriate programs for students, as well as educational opportunities for parents, a social fabric for families, and support for meaningful communication between the school and the home.
