In The Know.....
Check out this new website launched last week by Montessori Administrators Association (MAA)  http://mariamontessori.com/mm/  This is an incredible resource for parents and schools loaded with great information!

Kohl's Cares
facebooksized.jpgOur school could win $500,000. Help us by voting and spreading the word on Facebook at www.facebook.com/kohls. You may vote five times! The 20 school with the most votes by September 3rd will win $500,000. You may also post ideas on how our school could spend the money...please take just a few minutes to do this.

School Garden Farm Stand Coming Soon
Look for a stand in the front of the school coming soon to offer our excess produce to the community. Fresh produce will be picked weekly from the school garden and offered for sale. Squash, zucchini and cucumbers are coming in and tomatoes are on the horizon. We will also have beans and kale and flowers occassionally. Hanging baskets for sun or shade are available for a small donation (you choose the amount) - they make great hostess gifts.

The stand will be self-serve with a jar placed outside for money and a board listing prices. Stop by anytime!

Up North Archaeology
Be an archaeologist for a week! Discover ancient sites and shipwrecks right here in Traverse City. Try your hand at spear throwing, visit a lighthouse, and uncover the mysteries of the past. We'll even have our own dig on the school grounds. Prepare to get dirty! August 9-13; 9am-4pm. Ages 9-12

Up North Archaeology is a special program presented in cooperation with The Children's House Montessori, Grand Traverse Bay Underwater Preserve, and the Samels Family Heritage Society.
