In The Know:
Primary Parent Visiting Day, October 14
We are happy to welcome parents back into our classrooms this year. Please drop your child off in the morning as you normally do. Once you park, go to your child’s classroom and stay as late as 9:30 a.m. To limit the number of people in our Primary classrooms, we ask that only one adult per child attends. There will be another Parent Visiting Day in February.
Elementary Parent Visiting Days, October 18 - 28
Families will receive an email from their child’s guide inviting them to sign up for a specific time slot to visit the classroom. Stay tuned and see you soon!
Grounds Work Bee, October 22
Many hands make light work! You can help keep our campus beautiful by signing up now and showing up on October 22. We need help with the following: store tents and umbrellas, remove vines, add limbs and logs to playground, spread wood chips, plant and transplant trees, prep site for fruit trees, remove autumn olive and mulberry, and more!
Daffodil Day, November 1
Daffodil Day occurs every November when we plant bulbs in memory of former parent Dr. Karen Gilhooly and former students Sierra Fetterolf, Anna Maas, and Rowan Sanford. All are welcome to stop by during the day to plant a bulb - just check in at the front desk.
Horizon Books Day, November 13
Horizon Books will host our annual book fair AND give a percentage of all sales that day directly to The Children’s House - even when you purchase gift certificates! Stop by our table at Horizon Books to purchase pre-selected books for your child’s classroom. This annual book sale helps build our school library and collection of books in each classroom.
Shop Your Community Day, November 13
Support The Children’s House on Saturday, November 13 just by shopping in Downtown TC! For every purchase you make at participating stores, 15% of the sale will be donated to the non-profit of your choice - please select The Children’s House when you check-out! We were selected as one of the 30 non-profits because we consistently have one of the highest donation amounts at the end of the day. Let’s keep this trend going! Learn more here.
