Parent Teacher Conferences - Sign Up Here
Nov 5 & 6
Conferences are an important connection point for your child’s guide and you to have a conversation about your child at school. In order to conduct conferences safely, all conferences will be conducted on Zoom. After the sign-up period, your child’s guide will send you a link to your conference. If you do not have Zoom capabilities, please contact us and we will help make a conference accessible for you. Your child’s guide looks forward to connecting with you. Please make sure you sign up, and come prepared with any questions you might have about your child’s school experience.
Soup for Dinner
Many parents have lamented not being able to eat the amazing school food that is served at the annual Fall Harvest Festival. Lament no more! Now you can bring home soup and bread made fresh at school every Friday. Each order costs $30 and includes 40 ounces of soup and four pieces of slipper bread or other side served that day. Horizon Books Days - Nov. 9 - 14
Horizon Books is once again collaborating with TCH to host our annual book sale! This is an opportunity to enrich your child's classroom library. You may choose a book (or books) to purchase from a basket of books that have been pre-selected by your child’s guide. Be sure to complete and stick a nameplate to the inside cover of the books you purchase and they will be delivered to your child's classroom for all of the children to enjoy. Shop Your Community Days
Support The Children’s House and our Traverse City downtown merchants during Shop Your Community Days, November 12-14. Three days allows shoppers to spread out and stay safe. We are one of only 30 nonprofits invited to participate this year. Even during difficult times, merchants will be donating 5% of every sale - be sure to select The Children’s House at checkout.
Daffodil Day - Nov. 2
Daffodil Day occurs every November when we plant bulbs in memory of former parent Dr. Karen Gilhooly and former students Sierra Fetterolf, Anna Maas, and Rowan Sanford. Parents are welcome to stop by during the day to plant a bulb.
