Each year, the Children's House Parent Association (CHiPA) proudly awards a $1,000 college scholarship to a graduating high school senior who completed 6th grade at The Children's House.
Eligible alums are invited to apply. To do so, compose an essay responding to the following prompt:
As a high school senior looking ahead to college, please tell us how your time at The Children's House shaped the student you've been and the person you are today. Please share specific memories or aspects (people or experiences) of your Montessori education that have been especially important in forming your interests, activities, values and goals. We would also like to know about your college plans -- what school will you attend and what interests you?
Your essay should be one to two pages in length, single spaced. Please use standard, legible font and layout for your essay.
Submissions are due by April 30, 2019. Please email them as attachments (.doc, .docx, .pdf) to Renee Hintz at email@example.com.
The scholarship winner will be selected by CHiPA representatives and announced on May 17. The scholarship winner will be the keynote speaker at the 6th grade moving up ceremony on June 5 at 6 p.m.
