Grandparents Day, May 27
Mark your calendars! On May 27, we will be hosting our 18th annual Grandparents and Special Friends of that Generation Day. Please share this updated webpage with your child’s grandparents: https://www.traversechildrenshouse.org/events.asp. For families of Junior High students, we’ve suggested a couple of options for how best to visit both campuses. This special day requires lots of parent volunteers and donated food items. Please sign up here to help out.
New! Alison Breithaupt selected for the Roots in Education grant
We're thrilled to announce that Alison Breithaupt, has been selected as one of the 25 Roots in Education grant recipients and will receive a $1,000 grant! Each year, LMCU's Roots in Education program awards twenty-five (25) $1,000 grants to teachers across Michigan and Florida who embody a specific word. This year's word is empowering. The winning teachers go above and beyond to empower their students, such as encouraging students to make their own decisions, equipping them to take ownership of their education, or building their self-confidence and self-expression. This year we received 415 nominations and their empowering work stood out!
