Aug 6 & 8 - Science Girls Rock
A program that strives to expose and inspire young girls to explore a passion for science. The workshops are developed and led by Angelica Barnes, a high school student from New York City who spends her summers in Traverse City. Angelica has always had a passion for science and teaching and wanted to find a way to share her love for the field by inspiring younger girls to do the same. Girls will learn about DNA and magnetism through the extraction of strawberries DNA and magnetic slime.
