A Space to Grow Food for the Community
By Jamie Schaub
Right now we have over 1,500 plants started in the greenhouse that will grow to provide produce to local food pantries. Since 2017 I have spent my summers helping manage Poesis Farm more...
Other Notes:
Summer 2020
We still don’t have updated information about summer. We will let you know as soon as we know something. Thank you for your patience, we are optimistic! Contact Kim Gallagher with questions.
School Year 2020-21 Tuition Agreements
Signed tuition agreements are due May 9. Because many programs have applicant pools, having this completed by the due date is necessary to secure your child’s placement in the fall. At this point in time, we are unable to predict if the upcoming school year will be affected by COVID-19. Please trust that if we are not allowed to return to campus in September as planned, tuition agreements will be adjusted to reflect any necessary modifications to the school year.
Graduation and Moving Up Ceremonies
It is a long-held tradition of our school to recognize children who are moving up from one plane of development to the next and celebrate the achievements of our graduates. This year, these ceremonies will be held virtually on Zoom and recorded and shared with the community afterward. Please stay tuned for more details as our plans take shape.
The Children’s House Marathon Team
Spring is typically a time for Children's House elementary and junior high students to be outside running. In the past we have had a track team, Girls on the Run, and Kids Bayshore Marathon all running after school. Let’s combine these three activities as a one big Children's House Marathon Team.
By running or walking just one mile each day you will complete a marathon distance in May. If this sounds fun to you, please join our team by logging your miles here. We will track our weekly progress as a team and individually. Our goal is 1,000 miles for the team, with 265 miles already logged! Thank you very much to Amanda Danielson and Emili Jackson for getting this started. I think this will be a fun way to be active together while staying apart. Let's have fun and stay fit! Parent Business Directory
Did you know there is a directory of TCH family-owned businesses in the Parent Portal? If you own a business and are not listed, please let us know by completing this Google form. The harsh economic impact of COVID-19 is just starting to be realized. Please support TCH family-owned businesses.
TCH Facebook Community
In an effort to connect our school community even more, a private Facebook group, The Children’s House Community has been created. Please join to share ideas and swap items. The Children's House is a certified Green School. Having a way to give extra life to items your children outgrow helps support this initiative. You may post items that you need, want to sell, trade, or give-away. Please invite other TCH parents.
