New Message from Michele:
As we enter a three-day weekend in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, we take a moment to honor him, and all of those who came before and are yet to come, working actively to promote the message of equity and belonging for all people.
Maria Montessori gave this speech at the first meeting of the Governing Board of the UNESCO Institute for Education on June 19, 1951. From the start, Montessori believed “childhood has shown me that all humanity is one.” To this day, Montessori schools worldwide create environments where every child can feel a sense of worth, belonging, compassion, and caring for one another.
At The Children’s House, we have a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and together we are creating a place that supports the work of Dr. King, Dr. Montessori, and all of those, both actively and quietly, working toward a future where every human belongs.

New! Be SMART with Kira Walkup, February 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Kira Walkup is the local representative of the national Be SMART campaign. She will join us via Zoom on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. to lead an opportunity for adults to learn more about the Be SMART campaign and how our community can make a difference in keeping children safe by normalizing the expectation that guns are to be securely stored away from children. We will email the Zoom link to everyone on February 7. We hope to see you online!
