New! Second Semester Theater for 3rd-8th year students led by Jaime Janiszewski
Based on the popularity and success of our fall Theater Club, we are excited to announce that this spring, Theater Club will perform A Tree Called Aesop. Rehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm - 5:30pm starting Jan. 11, and will require your child to be signed up for friend's club. Theater Club this term is open to 3rd-8th years and we have to cap the number at 15.
A Tree Called Aesop is a 45-minute play featuring ten fables told individually yet strung together through narration. There are 60 roles so everyone will play more than one role. For this reason, it is important that all participants are committed and able to attend the majority of rehearsals and the performance.
Please respond to Kim Gallagher, kim@traversechildrenshouse.org, by Jan 5th if your child would like to participate.
P.S. If your child is more interested in behind-the-scenes work like sets, costumes, props, etc.,there will be some opportunities to participate in those things as we get closer to the performance.
Spirit Wear Swap
Because everyone loves Spirit Fridays and children grow fast, a group of parents have set up a Spirit Wear Swap in the coat room adjacent to the front desk. Leave an item your child has outgrown and take something that fits! Stop by anytime. (And while you’re here, be sure to check the Lost and Found for items your child could be missing.)
