In The Know:
Grounds Work Bee
Many hands make light work! You can help keep our campus beautiful by signing up now and showing up on October 21. We need help with the following: store tents and umbrellas, remove vines, add limbs and logs to playground, spread wood chips, remove autumn olive and mulberry, and more!
Daffodil Day, November 1
Daffodil Day occurs every November when we plant bulbs in memory of former parent Dr. Karen Gilhooly and former students Sierra Fetterolf, Anna Maas, and Rowan Sanford. All are welcome to stop by during the day to plant a bulb - just check in at the front desk.
Updated! Parent Teacher Conferences, November 3 - 4
Sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences today! They are an important (and required) opportunity for you to talk with your child’s guide about your child’s classroom experience and progress. Click here to sign up. Please contact your child’s guide or the front desk with any questions: 929-9325.
New! Winter Sports
As fall begins, basketball season is quickly approaching! If your athlete is interested in basketball, below is some general information. If TCH is going to have a team, we will need a couple of coaches. Please reach out to Julie Boss if you are interested in coaching or helping!
Girls 4th-5th Grade Basketball:
Season: 10/31-12/15
Cost: $65.00 dollars
All winter sports and information will be updated on our Extracurriculars page as available.
Boots for Kids" Sock Drive, November 7- 18
CHiPA is proudly collaborating with the Boots for Kids organization to ensure every child in the region has warm winter gear. This year, we have committed to support this effort by donating thick cotton crew socks for infants (5-13 shoe size) and youth (1-7 shoe size). Your child may deliver socks to the basket at the Front Desk, Nov. 7 - 18.
New! Horizon Books Day, November 12
Horizon Books will host our annual book fair AND give 10% of all sales that day directly to The Children’s House - even when you purchase gift certificates! This annual book sale helps build our school library and collection of books in each classroom.
New! Shop Your Community Day, November 12
Support The Children’s House on Saturday, November 12 just by shopping in Downtown TC! For every purchase you make at participating stores, 15% of the sale will be donated to the non-profit of your choice - please select The Children’s House when you check-out! We were selected as one of the 30 non-profits because we consistently have one of the highest donation amounts at the end of the day. Let’s keep this trend going! Learn more here.
