New! Compass Montessori Junior High students awarded
Last week, Congressman Bergman (MI-01) offered his congratulations to the finalists of the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) for Michigan’s First District. First and second place were awarded to Compass Montessori Junior High students! The challenge prompts students to hone their coding skills in creating a unique and innovative app, applying their knowledge of computer science and STEM to create real-life technologies.

Parent Library addition
We've added two copies of “The Child Is the Teacher: A Life of Maria Montessori” by Cristina De Stefano to our parent library. This book and other Montessori and parenting books and videos are available for parent and staff use. You may browse at your leisure and check books out at the Front Desk.
Be SMART with Kira Walkup, February 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Kira Walkup is the local representative of the national Be SMART campaign. She will join us via Zoom on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. to lead an opportunity for adults to learn more about the Be SMART campaign and how our community can make a difference in keeping children safe by normalizing the expectation that guns are to be securely stored away from children. We will email the Zoom link to everyone on February 7. We hope to see you online!
