In the Know:

Updated! Horizon Books Day, November 11
Horizon Books will host our annual book fair AND give 10% of all sales that day directly to The Children’s House - even when you purchase gift certificates! You can participate virtually by calling Horizons to purchase a gift card, request that the guide's name be put on the envelope, and ask that it be included with the purchased books for that day. This annual book sale helps build our school library and collection of books in each classroom. Volunteers are needed, sign up here

Shop Your Community Day, November 11
Support The Children’s House on Saturday, November 11 just by shopping in Downtown TC! For every purchase you make at participating stores, 15% of the sale will be donated to the non-profit of your choice - please select The Children’s House when you check out! Learn more here.

School Picture Retakes, November 14, 8:30 a.m.
Still need to order pictures or plan to do retakes? To get retakes, simply bring your previous pack of pictures back in by November 14 and be sure to let your teacher know.  Use this link to order photos electronically by November 17.

New! Ruby Bridges Day Bake Sale, November 14, 7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Updated! Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, November 14
This week, the elementary classrooms sent student representatives to each primary classroom to share Ruby Bridges’ story and message. Primary classrooms are invited to join the elementary in their symbolic “walk to school” which will be a loop around our parking lot. The school’s drive will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

Parent Night at Loco Boys, November 16
This is a fun night of socializing with Children's House and Compass Junior High parents, hosted by Loco Boys Brewing Company from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. The first drink and appetizers are on us. We hope to see you there! RSVP here.

New! Spirit Wear Store Reopened, order by November 19!
In addition to our LOVE logo and Compass Junior High gear, we have a brand new design, only available this year! Thanks to Brad Kik, a TCH parent, we have a "Dance of the Cosmos" graphic tee (and sweatshirt and tote)! This new design celebrates our end-of-the-year event that features our kindergarteners as planets and comets and the rest of our community as other parts of the universe. Place your order online by Sunday, November 19!

Boots for Kids SOCK Drive, November 6 - 20
CHiPA is proudly collaborating with the Boots for Kids organization to ensure every child in the region has warm winter gear. Each pair of boots that are given away come with two pairs of warm socks. This year, our Children’s House community has committed to supporting this effort by donating thick cotton crew socks for infants (5-13 shoe size) and youth (1-7 shoe size). Your child may deliver socks to the basket at the Front Desk, now through Monday, November 20.

New! Primary Pajama Day, Friday, December 15
Primary students are encouraged to wear pajamas to school on Dec.15! Please no slippers, stuffed animals, or other sleep accessories.

New! Seasonal Sing, Dec 15 at 11:30 a.m.
This is a time-honored tradition on the final day of school before winter break. Families and friends gather to sing a variety of festive songs from many cultures celebrating this wonderful time of year. Campus closes immediately following the event, no lunch, no Friend's Club. Nido and YCC parents will receive specific instructions from their guide.
