Daffodil Day, November 1
Daffodil Day occurs every November when we plant bulbs in memory of former parent Dr. Karen Gilhooly and former students Sierra Fetterolf, Anna Maas, and Rowan Sanford. All are welcome to stop by during the day to plant a bulb - just check in at the front desk.
Parent Teacher Conferences, November 4 - 5
Sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences today! Conferences will take place in-person at school this year. Click here to sign up! Please contact your child’s guide or the front desk with any questions: 929-9325.
NEW! Boots for Kids Sock Drive, Nov 8 - 19
CHiPA is proudly collaborating with the Boots for Kids organization to ensure every child in the region has warm winter gear. Each pair of boots that are given away come with two pairs of warm socks. This year, our Children’s House community has committed to supporting this effort by donating thick cotton crew socks for infants (5-13 shoe size) and youth (1-7 shoe size). Your child may deliver socks to the basket at the Front Desk, Nov. 8 - 19.
NEW! Round Table Discussion: Tech Reset, moderated by Lisa Thauvette
Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. for parents of Elementary and Junior High students
Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. for parents of Nido, YCC, and Primary children
In-person at The Children’s House
For many of us, digital technology has crept into our homes more than we’d like since the start of the pandemic. If you’d like to redefine the presence and usage of screens in your household, come share and learn from other families who are also working toward healthier digital tech habits.
Horizon Books Day, November 13
Horizon Books will host our annual book fair AND give a percentage of all sales that day directly to The Children’s House - even when you purchase gift certificates! Stop by our table at Horizon Books to purchase pre-selected books for your child’s classroom. This annual book sale helps build our school library and collection of books in each classroom.
Shop Your Community Day, November 13
Support The Children’s House on Saturday, November 13 just by shopping in Downtown TC! For every purchase you make at participating stores, 15% of the sale will be donated to the non-profit of your choice - please select The Children’s House when you check-out! We were selected as one of the 30 non-profits because we consistently have one of the highest donation amounts at the end of the day. Let’s keep this trend going! Learn more here.
