Extracurriculars:
Navigators Robotics Club
Robotics Club begins this fall for 6th, 7th, and 8th year students. With the support of Quarkmine, students will team up to design and build robots for competitions. The Robotics Club will meet once a week, after school at Compass Jr. High, with a fall session and a spring session to prepare for regional tournaments with other schools.
Quarkmine will demonstrate this new robotics program for students next week during school hours. If your student is interested in joining Navigators Robotics Club, please sign up by September 29. We also need parent coaches to supervise teams during Club times. Quarkmine handles all technical training with the students, so no experience is needed. Please indicate on the form if you are willing to help coach a team. Details will follow. Sign up to learn more.
New! Chess Club for 7th - 8th years
Chess Club is back! All Compass Students, their parents, and their siblings are invited to participate. We will start this year by meeting every other Monday (with one Wednesday thrown in there) from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Park Street Campus. Learn more here.
