Family Calendar

In The Know:

New! Time to Order Lunch
November Lunch Menu is now available, view menu here.

Daffodil Day, November 1
Daffodil Day occurs every November when we plant bulbs in memory of former parent Dr. Karen Gilhooly and former students Sierra Fetterolf, Anna Maas, and Rowan Sanford. All are welcome to stop by during the day to plant a bulb - just check in at the front desk.

Parent Teacher Conferences, November 3 - 4
Sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences if you haven't already! They are an important (and required) opportunity for you to talk with your child’s guide about your child’s classroom experience and progress. Click here to sign up. Please contact your child’s guide or the front desk with any questions: 929-9325.

Winter Sports
As fall begins, basketball season is quickly approaching! Please reach out to Julie Boss if you are interested in coaching or helping. Find all winter sports information on our Extracurriculars page.

Sock Drive, Nov 7- 18
CHiPA is proudly collaborating with the Boots for Kids organization to ensure every child in the region has warm winter gear. This year, we have committed to support this effort by donating thick cotton crew socks for infants (5-13 shoe size) and youth (1-7 shoe size). Your child may deliver socks to the basket at the Front Desk, Nov. 7 - 18.

Horizon Books Day, November 12
Horizon Books will host our annual book fair AND give 10% of all sales that day directly to The Children’s House - even when you purchase gift certificates! This annual book sale helps build our school library and collection of books in each classroom.

Shop Your Community Day, November 12
Support The Children’s House on Saturday, November 12 just by shopping in Downtown TC! For every purchase you make at participating stores, 15% of the sale will be donated to the non-profit of your choice - please select The Children’s House when you check-out! We were selected as one of the 30 non-profits because we consistently have one of the highest donation amounts at the end of the day. Let’s keep this trend going! Learn more here.

New! Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day
"Six-year-old Ruby Bridges stepped into the history books in 1960 when she integrated William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans becoming a national icon for the civil rights movement. Today her story continues to inspire the next generation of leaders to end racism together one step at a time."
- Ruby Bridges Foundation

On Monday, November 14, we want to celebrate Ruby Bridges because she changed the world and we can too. The children from Karin's Upper Elementary class will visit the other elementary classroom in teams of two to share this idea. Each class will choose to do a project to celebrate her brave action of walking to school and making the world a better place. This year-long project will honor her and share her message of fighting racism and preventing bullying. Please join us! - Mark, Fletcher and Claire
